Torres v. Sachs, 73 Civ. 3921 is a class action which commenced on September 12, 1973 to redress alleged violations of the plaintiffs' right to vote in the November 6, 1973 general election and in all future federal, state and local elections in New York City. Plaintiffs base their claim on the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, 42 U.S.C. § 1973...
