Plaintiff, an indigent Virginia prisoner, brings this civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging that the State has unconstitutionally denied him certain parts of his trial transcript which he "needs" to collaterally attack his April 6, 1972, conviction for robbery.
