On August 16, 1972, plaintiffs filed this action pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1343(4) and 42 U.S.C. § 3612 to obtain remedy for alleged violations of the fair housing provisions contained in Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, 42 U.S.C. § 3601 et seq. (The Fair Housing Act). This suit is a class action being brought before the court without jury against certain named defendants as representatives...
