This is a suit by The Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association Limited (hereafter "plaintiff"), a protection and indemnity underwriter organized under the laws of Great Britain, against the Bureau Veritas (hereafter "defendant"), a society established under the laws of France and engaged in the classification of vessels in accordance with certain published standards. The suit arises from the sinking of the SS PENSACOLA on February 15, 1966...
