These witnesses were held in contempt for refusal to testify before a federal grand jury in the Northern District of California. They had previously been granted immunity under 18 U.S.C. §§ 6002 et seq.

The Taulbees complain that they were denied adequate notice of both the contempt and immunity hearings. The Taulbees first refused to testify on January 23, 1973. They were informed at that time by the government...
