Ray Overton was indicted for the offense of rape. His wife, Barbara Overton, was indicted for the offense of intentionally aiding and abetting him in the commission of the rape. They were jointly tried, and both were convicted. Ray Overton was given a sentence of five years, and Barbara Overton a sentence of two years.
