The above-captioned cases, which were consolidated for trial, are both civil actions brought by "free lance" court reporters against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Clerk for Criminal Business of the Suffolk Superior Court. A second defendant originally named in Civil Action No. 70-552, the Honorable James A. Boyle, Justice of the District Court of Dukes County, was dismissed from that case on motion of plaintiffs...
