The defendants in this action when the suit was filed were National Lead Company, a corporation, and Chemical Workers' Basic Union Local 1744, AFL-CIO. On April 15, 1971, the corporate name of National Lead Company, a corporation, was changed to NL Industries, Inc., effective April 16, 1971.
