For loss occasioned by the total destruction of their dwelling, respondents, the Skates, sued appellant, Preferred Fire Insurance Company, on its fire and extended coverage policy of insurance. The trial court found for Skates in the amount of $6,000.00 (the face amount of the policy) and for $1,350.00 interest to date of judgment, upon Count I of the petition.
