The factual background to the present application for the writ of habeas corpus may be summarized as follows: The relator, Edwin Blaine Chalfonte, was indicted by the Philadelphia County Grand Jury, Indictments Nos. 20-29, November Sessions, 1937, and No. 421, May Sessions, 1932.
