Thomas Paul Raimondi, the appellant, was convicted in a jury trial in the Criminal Court of Baltimore of attempted bribery, a violation of Md. Code, Art. 27, § 23. Judge H. Kenneth Mackey, the presiding judge, imposed a sentence of eighteen months and a fine of $500.
