The plaintiff filed his original complaint on March 22, 1971, alleging that the defendant's refusal to hire him in December of 1966 was because of his race and was, therefore, a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 [42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq.].
