INTRODUCTION

Joseph P. Rodack, a longshoreman, was injured while loading cargo aboard plaintiff's vessel, the SS PIONEER COVE, on July 25, 1961. Rodack sued plaintiff in this Court and recovered a jury verdict of $35,000.
