The offense is possession of marihuana; the punishment, ten years.

Officer B. L. Alcorn testified he received information from a reliable informant who had given correct information in the past to the effect that Gary Ross had marihuana at his apartment at 2216 MacGregor Way in the city of Houston. Alcorn and Officer Stringfellow then set up a surveillance at this address on four different days and observed known users of marihuana...
