This is an expropriation suit filed by the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Highways, against the Donner Corporation. The suit was instituted under LSA-R.S. 48:441-460. Judgment was rendered by the trial court awarding defendant $54.00 as the value of the property taken and $35,485.00 as severance damages, fixing the fees of defendant's two expert witnesses at the total sum of $10,964.50, and taxing these expert witness fees as costs.
