This case comes before the court on a petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed in forma pauperis by Lewis Walter Redd, a state prisoner, pursuant to 28 U.S.C.A. § 2241. The petition was originally filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and was transferred to this court by order dated January 7, 1969.
