Appellant was convicted of two separate offenses of grand theft from the person in violation of subparagraph 2 of section 487 of the Penal Code. He was also charged with and admitted three prior felony convictions, two for robbery and one for burglary. Appellant's application for probation was denied, and he was sentenced to state prison for the term prescribed by law on each offense, the sentences to run consecutively. This appeal followed.
