In this habeas corpus petition relator, Edward Dennis, alleges that he was denied his Sixth Amendment right to the effective assistance of counsel and that his guilty plea was not voluntarily and intelligently made. On June 20, 1957 relator and a co-defendant named Wilson entered pleas of guilty in the Quarter Sessions Court of Delaware County to indictments charging rape, robbery and related offenses.
