Appellant, Jessie Charles Patterson, was charged with the crime of murder in the first degree and after trial by jury was convicted of manslaughter. We granted a delayed appeal (Rule 16, Rules of the Supreme Court, 17 A.R.S.) based on asserted psychological pressures which coerced the abandonment of a timely appeal.
