This is an action in personam in admiralty by seaman-linehandler Leopoldo Sandoval against the owner-operator of the S.S. AKIBASAN MARU for damages in the amount of $100,000 for personal injury, permanent disability, loss and impairment of wages and other injuries, and $25,000 for maintenance and cure. The damages were incurred as a result of the plaintiff being struck by a cable or hawser aboard...
