The appellee Umberto Cannella (claimant below), 71 years of age, was employed for 37 years as a porcelain sprayer by Locke Insulator Company which subsequently became the Insulator Department of General Electric. He retired on June 1, 1961, at the age of 65, as a result of the company's mandatory retirement policy and not because of disability. He received normal retirement pay.
