The defendants procured a mortgage loan from the Curnow Mortgage Corporation in July, 1961, which the Administrator of Veterans Affairs guaranteed up to $7,500.00. Subsequently the defendants defaulted on the note; and on June 25, 1963, the Administrator paid $2,677.16 to the Prudential Insurance Company, as evidenced by the affidavit of John Steinkraus, Accounting Technician for the Veterans Administration...
