Plaintiffs, who are all Illinois citizens, commenced this action in the Circuit Court of LaSalle County, Illinois, against Gamble-Skogmo, Inc., a Minnesota corporation, seeking to recover in excess of $10,000 for personal injuries allegedly caused by a defective automobile tire sold by Gamble-Skogmo to one of the plaintiffs.
