The defendant, Kenneth Fred Davis, was indicted and tried for murder before a jury. Three forms of verdict were submitted to the jury, (1) a guilty verdict in manner and form as charged in the indictment; (2) a finding of not guilty; and (3) a finding of guilty of manslaughter. The jury found the defendant guilty of manslaughter and the other two verdicts were returned...
