OPINION BY MR. JUSTICE ROBERTS, June 24, 1966:

In December 1957, appellant was convicted in a trial by jury of murder in the first degree and sentenced to life imprisonment. No appeal was taken from the judgment of conviction or sentence.

Thereafter, appellant filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County. The petition was denied and we affirmed. Commonwealth ex rel...
