The defendants herein were convicted by a jury of violations of the federal mail fraud statute,1 and were sentenced to a term of imprisonment of from twenty months to five years. From that judgment they appealed. The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit remanded the cause for a hearing to determine certain matters relating to the defendants' right to a speedy trial...
