Plaintiff below sought damages from the Town of Douglas for the value of his personal property destroyed by a fire which allegedly spread from the firing of the town's dump to plaintiff's lands. Trial being to the court without jury, plaintiff was given a money judgment against the town and its insurer, The Western Casualty and Surety Company.
