In 1953 the plaintiffs, township school trustees in Madison County, filed an eminent domain petition to acquire certain land for school purposes. A jury determined just compensation for the property and on November 23, 1953, judgment was entered upon the jury's award. Pursuant to the court's order, the amount of the award was paid to the county treasurer, and possession of the property...
