An information was filed in the municipal court of the city of Ottumwa charging defendant with the crime of Frequenting a Disorderly House, in violation of the city's municipal code. He pleaded not guilty, was tried, found guilty and fined $15 and costs. He undertook to appeal the conviction to the District Court of Wapello County.
