Mr. and Mrs. Denby, the plaintiff-appellees, filed their complaint for foreclosure of a mortgage. The appellants, Mr. and Mrs. Scarfone, were named as defendants. The complaint alleged that the defendants executed and delivered to the plaintiffs their promissory note evidencing an indebtedness in the principal sum of $6,000.00.
