Since 1956, plaintiff, Telephone News Systems, Inc., has operated a telephone service supplying certain horse racing information to anyone calling its telephone number. Plaintiff receives the information over a "Sports Printer" leased from United Press International News Service and makes voice recordings several times a day, which recordings are heard by those calling plaintiff's number.
