During the year 1959 Lucy L. Crochet entered into a written agreement with Raymond A. Martin, a contractor, to construct a building on her property at 107, 109 and 111 Hector Avenue, Metairie, Louisiana. The agreement was never recorded. The contractor executed a lien bond in favor of the property owner to hold her free from the assertion of liens and privileges against her property by materialmen and laborers.
