This is a wrongful death action arising out of a collision between an automobile driven by Edward A. Welsh, Jr. and an ambulance owned and driven by Joseph H. Pritchett, on U.S. Route 36, just east of Illiopolis, Illinois. The highway is a concrete two-lane highway, approximately twenty-two feet wide, running generally east and west.
