After a jury trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, appellants Carlo P. Minieri and Salvatore Saponaro were convicted of possessing goods they knew to have been stolen from a truck while the goods were a part of interstate commerce. 18 U.S.C. § 659 (1958).
