Since 1927 (PA 1927, No 162) our workmen's compensation law has provided (first, for injured employees between the ages of 16 and 18 and then, by PA 1929, No 113, for those under 18 years of age):
"That any minor under 18 years of age whose employment at the time of injury shall be shown to be illegal shall, in the absence of fraudulent use of permits or certificates of age, in which case only single compensation...
