In the course of his business he received from time to time diamonds on consignment accompanied by memoranda, describing the stones and reciting certain conditions of the deliveries. On May 18, 1959, on his premises, he was robbed at gunpoint of merchandise owned by him and of consigned diamonds owned by Nathansohn-Lipschutz Company, Burkley Corporation...
