This is a suit originally filed upon August 25, 1952 by the United States of America against H. M. Templeton for forfeitures totalling $42,000. The suit as originally filed was brought under Title 31 U.S.C.A. § 231 et seq., the False Claims Act, it being alleged that the defendant had obtained 21 separate loans upon cotton from the Commodity Credit Corporation when he was not a producer of the cotton...
