On Sunday, April 27, 1958, at about 4:30 p. m. plaintiff's car, while stopped for a red light at Roosevelt Road and Clark Streets, Chicago, Illinois, was struck from behind by a post office truck driven by Waymon Shaw, an employee of the Post Office Department.
