These two appeals involve criminal contempt proceedings against the appellants Peter E. Bradt and Theodore G. Albert, both practicing attorneys, arising out of their conduct in a hearing in a civil action in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. The District Judge, proceeding under Rule 42(a) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, 18 U.S.C., summarily found both appellants guilty of criminal contempt and sentenced...
