This is a suit for separate maintenance, instituted by the plaintiff in accordance with the provisions of PA 1889, No 243 (CL 1948, § 552.301 et seq. [Stat Ann 1957 Rev § 25.211 et seq.]). The parties were married in 1944. One child was born of the marriage, and 2 daughters of defendant by a prior marriage were adopted by plaintiff in December, 1953.
