The Borough of Hughesville constructed a sewer in 1905. The sewer was a combination storm and sanitary sewer and property holders were allowed to tap on to this sewer for a fee of $25. At that time and at the present time, the storm water and sewage is dumped into a creek in or near the borough which flows into the Susquehanna River.
