This is an action for maintenance and cure brought by libellant (Stone) against the respondent, libellant's employer, for the consequences of an alleged assault by a fellow seaman (Plyler) upon libellant Stone, an able-bodied seaman, on January 20, 1956, while in the service of a ship operated by respondent.
