Memorandum Findings of Fact and Opinion

FORRESTER, Judge:

Respondent has determined a deficiency in the income tax of petitioner of $112,313.03 for its fiscal year ended September 30, 1952. The issue now before us is whether petitioner sustained a capital loss in said year due to the worthlessness of certain preferred stock, and, if so, the amount of said loss.
