From the allegations of the complaint and the record in this case it appears that while Walter and Ida B. Erman were guests at defendant's (appellant's) Royal Hawaiian Hotel they entrusted a mink coat to an employee of the hotel to be taken from and protected out of their room and the employee so negligently cared for the coat that it was lost or stolen while in his custody.
