Plaintiffs in error were defendants in the trial court and defendants in error were plaintiffs. We will refer to them as they there appeared.

Two actions were brought in the district court; plaintiff Frank Hilleweart sought to recover from defendants $2,000, together with interest and attorney fees, alleged to be due on a note given to him in return for a loan of $2,000; plaintiff Alfonso Hilleweart sought $3,000, interest and attorney fees...
