MURPHY, JUSTICE.

This is an action for damages resulting from the destruction of the plaintiff's lakeshore house on October 16, 1953, by a fire alleged to have been started by the defendant on the defendant's property, which adjoined that of the plaintiff. In the first trial of the action the jury awarded plaintiff a verdict, but the trial court granted defendant's motion for a new trial. At the second trial, the court directed a verdict for defendant after the plaintiff...
