This is a civil action, brought under Section 5(l) of the Federal Trade Commission Act [15 U.S.C.A. § 45(l)], to recover $40,000 in penalties for alleged violations of a cease and desist order of the Federal Trade Commission. The complaint originally contained 11 counts, 3 of which have been dropped. A penalty of $5,000 on each count is sought in the eight remaining counts.
