On the 18th of June, 1956, the Grand Jury of Polk County, Iowa returned an indictment against the defendant Deo Dean Baker, accusing him of the crime of uttering and drawing a false check, as defined in Section 713.3 of the 1954 Code of Iowa, I.C.A., for $20 upon the Peoples Trust and Savings Bank at Lacona, Iowa, and delivering the same to Marjorie E. Dunley...
