The petitioners (respondents) are residents and qualified electors of an area lying in the north or northwest part of Independent Class A School District No. 241, Idaho and Adams Counties. They filed their petition on the 13th day of May, 1953, with the state board of education (appellant), requesting that the area particularly described be separated from district No. 241 and added to Joint Class B School District No. 302, Lewis and Clearwater Counties...
