CROCKETT, Justice.
Chester Mathis was convicted of the crime of assault with intent to commit rape in the District Court of Salt Lake County and was sentenced to serve a term in the Utah State Prison.
On this appeal the only significant point presented is defendant's contention that he was not given a speedy trial as guaranteed under the Constitution and the laws of this state.
